It's the one subject that prepares students for life. Music education can teach high school students how to be creative, how to listen, how to collaborate, and how to engage with others, both within and across cultures. The basic responsibility of our schools is to foster our student's intellectual and emotional growth. From music education and performances, students learn teamwork. They develop a keen sense of responsibility and self-discipline. Student musicians gain self-assurance and self-confidence. From music, students develop qualities that stand them in good stead for the rest of their lives. No other area of study does more to promote the total growth of students than music!
The California Music Hall Of Fame education team provides the philosophy, vision, planning, and guidance for all educational programming. We believe that music education is the core of students' education and must be made available to all students. Our education programs support the efforts of music teachers on the high school and middle school levels, as well as providing life-changing experiences for students. CMHOF will utilize music education as a catalyst to improve the student's academic achievement, along with nurturing the skills that can help students thrive in the future. The future of California music resides with our next generation and we are dedicated to a strong music program for high school students across California.
